There are superstitions about number that are set by Vietnamese people long ago, though those superstitions are varied by people's beliefs. In Vietnam, number like 1, 6 or 8 are often considered lucky numbers, especially 8, as its Chinese pronunciation is "Phat" which means development and wealthy. People will choose "specially beautiful day" according to Feng Shui to start doing something important like building a house or moving a car. They also believe a good combination of motorbike license plate can bring a good luck.
